Financial Aid

If you are seeking financial aid, please submit a financial aid application in place of our standard application. This will ensure that you are not charged a $795 deposit at the time of application.

Financial Aid offers range from 10% to 50% of the trip fee (excluding transportation or gear costs). All financial aid offers are dependent on the availability of space and funds. Most first-year financial aid students join us on trips starting in Williamstown, Massachusetts — this stretches our financial aid dollars, and makes it easy to lend equipment. Our first round of financial aid offers is made in early December. Our second round of financial aid offers is made in late February. Beginning in March, offers are made on a rolling basis.

When a financial aid award is offered and accepted, a non-refundable deposit is due. Though we strive to meet the needs and interests of all families seeking financial aid, we cannot guarantee an offer. Your flexibility in trip placement will increase your chances of financial assistance.

Scholarships

We are committed to building partnerships with foundations and schools and look to add new partners each year. Many of our scholarship students receive support from Overland and; in some cases, our generous partner organizations contribute to the cost of the trip, reducing the expense for families further. Overland also assists some scholarship students with gear and transportation, as well as assistance through the enrollment process. The Overland Summers Foundation

The Overland Summers Foundation, a 501c3 organization, welcomes gifts from all members of the Overland community. 100% of every dollar received directly benefits scholarship recipients.
