We Welcome Your Application to Join Us!
We build each of our groups with care, keeping the groups small (no more than twelve students), and paying close attention to age, grade, gender, and the mix of hometowns and schools. Our goal is to put together great groups — groups where nice kids thrive in a supportive, wholesome, and caring environment. Please note: availability as shown is based on students traveling without a friend; if your child is interested in traveling with a friend, please call our office for availability.

Hometown: San Francisco, CA
College: Colorado College
As part of my gap year, I spent 75 days on a NOLS course in New Zealand, which cemented my love for leading and being part of a group in the outdoors.
Originally from San Francisco, California, I am a sophomore at Colorado College where I intend to major in Studio Art with an Urban Studies minor. I spent the fall of 2020 taking classes remotely from Bend, Oregon, and spent my free time hiking and mountain biking in the Cascades before returning to Colorado College in January 2021. At CC, I participate in several art department adjuncts and have been working on a project to build meditation pods around campus with my school’s design program. I also run my own jewelry and art business inspired by my love of bright colors and fun graphics called ArtbyRafi. I enjoy cooking, reading, and I’m learning guitar.
As a student on five Overland trips including the European and American Challenges, I was excited to return to Overland as a member of the 2021 Support Staff. Some of my best memories are from the summers I spent on Overland trips, and I loved helping create that magic for many more students to come.
