Hometown: Bedford, Massachusetts
College: Kenyon College
When I was 12, I backpacked for two weeks in New Mexico with a small group, and I learned how to be myself, make new friendships, work well with others, overcome challenges, and love nature.
Originally from Bedford, Massachusetts, I graduated from Kenyon College in 2019 with a degree in psychology and French. During my junior spring, I studied in Paris, France, and gained a deeper understanding and love for the French language and culture. That summer, I extended my stay and nannied for a family and worked as a research assistant with a positive psychology start up. I was also able to witness Les Blues win the World Cup first hand. At Kenyon, I enjoyed being a student athlete as a member of the varsity volleyball team and a member of the equestrian team. In my free time, I volunteered at the local elementary school working one-on-one with 4th and 5th graders in both English and math. During my last semester, I worked as a teaching assistant for introductory French at Kenyon and enjoyed helping students gain a better understanding of the language and the culture.
In 2019, I led Mountains & Sea Adventure. I genuinely love the outdoors and working with kids. My Overland students embraced Overland’s values and were kind, considerate, respectful, and positive.
