We Welcome Your Application to Join Us!

We build each of our groups with care, keeping the groups small (no more than twelve students), and paying close attention to age, grade, gender, and the mix of hometowns and schools. Our goal is to put together great groups — groups where nice kids thrive in a supportive, wholesome, and caring environment. Please note: availability as shown is based on students traveling without a friend; if your child is interested in traveling with a friend, please call our office for availability.

Hometown: Highlands Ranch, Colorado
College: Amherst College

I love doing new things that push me out of my comfort zone and help me grow.

Originally from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, I am a sophomore at Amherst College. I plan to double major in economics and Spanish, and I aim to attend law school. On campus, I am a member of La Causa, which is an organization for Hispanic and Latino students as well as Amherst Christian Fellowship, which is the campus ministry group at Amherst College. On the Amherst football team, I play running back, and I really enjoy it. I have played football since I was five and can truly say football is my first love. For the last three summers, I have coached youth football for kids ranging from ages six-fourteen, and I have also coached kids with disabilities at special needs football camps. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in Colorado. I enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the snowy Rocky Mountains in the winter as well as camping, hiking and whitewater rafting in the summer. In my free time, I run a small business buying and selling high end athletic shoes. I like being active and working out because it keeps me healthy and allows me to learn more about myself. Every time I work out, I enjoy seeing how far I can push myself while remaining disciplined and focused.

In 2019, I was on Support Staff, led Berkshire Adventure, and Rocky Mountain Explorer. Overland students are the best – brave, adventurous, and curious. Their care for the world, and creativity to ask any question, no matter how big or small, continuously inspires me. I love watching groups come together to explore, see new things, and be pushed outside their comfort zones.
