Overland offers a variety of French and Spanish Language Study Abroad programs for students currently in grades 8 through 12.    We structure our programs to provide safe, fun and carefully crafted challenges that engage and excite our students.  Our Language Study Abroad programs provide a life experience with value and resonance that extends far beyond the boundaries of a single summer.

LSA France: Three Weeks for 8th & 9th Graders is a three-week program that offers native-speaker classroom-based language instruction to students in grades 8 and 9 in La Rochelle on the Atlantic Coast. Students stay in group accommodations, participate in afternoon group excursions and explore together on weekend trips to the châteaux country and Paris. A minimum of one year of French is required.

LSA France: Four Weeks for 9th-12th Graders is a four-week program that offers native-speaker classroom-based language instruction to students in grades 9 through 12. Staying in Amboise, Paris and La Rochelle, students participate in afternoon group excursions and practice their French during structured activities outside of class. A minimum of one year of high school French is required.

LSA Spain in Barcelona or Seville: Three Weeks for 8th & 9th Graders is a three-week program that offers native-speaker classroom-based language instruction to students in grades 8 and 9 in either Barcelona or Seville. Students stay in group accommodations, participate in afternoon group excursions and explore together on weekend trips to the mountains and the beach. A minimum of one year of Spanish is required.

LSA Spain in Barcelona or Seville: Four Weeks for 9th-12th Graders is a four-week program that offers native-speaker classroom-based language instruction to students in grades 9 through 12. Staying in either Barcelona or Seville, students participate in afternoon group excursions and trips to the mountains, the beach and Madrid. A minimum of one year of high school Spanish is required.

Language & Service Costa Rica: Three Weeks for 8th & 9th Graders is a three-week program that offers an unbeatable combination of native-speaker, classroom-based language instruction and meaningful community service projects to help disadvantaged Costa Rican communities and preserve the country's spectacular natural beauty to students in grades 8 and 9. Students stay in group accommodations for two weeks and experience a one-week homestay in a small Monteverde community. Please note that a minimum of one year of  Spanish is required for Language & Service Costa Rica.

Language & Service Costa Rica: Four Weeks for 9th-12th Graders is a four-week program that offers an unbeatable combination of native-speaker, classroom-based language instruction and meaningful community service projects to help disadvantaged Costa Rican communities and preserve the country's spectacular natural beauty to students in grades 9 through 12. Students stay in group accommodations for three weeks and experience a one-week homestay in a small Monteverde community. Please note that a minimum of one year of high school Spanish is required for Language & Service Costa Rica.
